RIC IV -; BMCRE -; RSC -; Bickford-Smith, "The Imperial Mints in the East for Septimius Severus: It is time to begin a thorough reconsideration," in RIN 1994/1995, pl. 70, 15 (same dies).  Extremely rare. Only a few recorded specimens, and this is the finest known.

Reverse type copied from a type of Pescennius Niger.
